want to pair up my maroon,help.

i bought 2 small aprox 1" maroons about a year ago. they were fine and then 1 jumped. the 1 i have left has been alone since. he hosts my big open brain. i want to try and pair up another maroon w/ this 1. mine is now about 2.5" i always thought to try and pair up, u get a new 1, 1/2 the size of the 1 in tank now. is this the right way to do it? place by me sometimes gets small ones, like 1" or so...

I'd try taking your maroon out of the tank first. I'd leave it in a QT or sump for a couple days then introduce it when you introduce your new maroon. This way, your bigger one won't defend its territory.

that will help so will putting the new guy in a specimin container inside the tank to let the clowns get used to eachother
