Want to scuplt my acans

I have like 6 different acans, they are all the large fleshy kind.

I have a beautiful green colony, then some frags of mostly reds.

Can I place my acans in close proximity without them attacking each other?

I kinda want to have the green Acan be the central point, then have the reds grow in around it.

Just doing a bit of digging because I was interested too, I really like Acan corals but have limited space. I found that you can seem to do this with little issue. I'm sure there are exceptions to what I've read but here are some pics I found.

wow, that is amazing. my acan echinata definitely stung my acan lord to death in one night. lord was fine and healthy and then when i came to work next morning, he was melted, completely dead. no chance of saving. like snot, it was pretty weird. i had them too close, and nothing else was close at all. could have been a chance happening, but i don't think so. i think the echinata killed the lord.

I have read recently of different types of Acans not being compatible like the echinata/lord incident you had. I am leery of putting them together but some seem to be able to do so without issue.

I guess it's kind of like how some tank mates are reef safe for some while they are destructive for others. Same thing for when people try to make Euphyllia gardens (frogspawn/torch/hammer) and some end up stinging each other while most people are able to do so without issue.

acan echinata have a serious punch and some range to them. acan lords have never stung anything on me

I've found that I can't put anything near my Acan Echinatas. They will sting the fire out of anything near it. The Acan Lords in my tank on the other hand are peaceful.

IMO(My rule of thumb to be exact), if their from the same sub area, they can touch, but with slower growth. Also, never place echinata near other pieces of coral.

+1 IME it appears that acan lords can touch but do not put a bowerbanki near a lord or echinata.

My purple echinata is the most aggressive coral I've ever seen destroying various LPS from 5-7 inches away, my orange crush is very peaceful and has never attacked anything?
