want used heater

I am current using a freshwater heater in my 50 gal RO water tub for water changes. It will probably rust out soon and ruin my water. Does anyone have a used one you want to get rid of (even one that overheats or doesn't shut off will work).

Even a fresh water heater shouldn't rust.
They should be made from stainless.

Stainless heaters DO rust, I know from experience. Apparently I missed the "freshwater use only" description on foster and smith. About 2 months later the thing was half rusted. Foster and smith were nice enough to credit me though

Must have been low grade stainless. I have a couple that I have used for a couple years with no signs of rust.
My thermometer is stainless even and I've had it for years.
