Anybody have a used 36 Inch PC Fixture they want to sell?

The electronic ballast in my PC fixture went out and I'm back on standard fluorescent for the moment.

Thought I'd check here first for a used one before I invest in another one.

I'm looking for straight pin arrangement but at this point square pin will do if it has bulbs with it. The one I had was Dual 96 Watt Straight Pin.

Thanks

I have one of the 36" Current Orbit fixtures im not using. Its the 2x96w w/moonlights one. I dont know if its straight or square, I will have to check. The bulbs would need to be replaced.

Have you looked at Mike's Surplus/Salvage for a replacement ballast? (14th street in Decatur)

I don't know if regular fluorescent ballasts will work, but they have quite a selection of various electronic ballasts. I even saw one waterproof one designed for walk in refirgerators that is UL listed for indoor/outdoor applications.

I also saw a 150 watt metal halide ballast.

I wish I could find a web resource that explained fluorescent ballasts well enough that I could figure out substitutions.

I've got a dual 96 watt 36" Coral life fixture with moonlights...When I added my last MH, I took it off, and have had it put up ever since.

Let me know. I forget if it's square or straight pin, though I'm leaning towards square.....

Like that one, but mine is solid black. I've got legs for it too. I had just replaced the bulbs maybe 3 months prior??? I bought generic ones, though...so you might want to replace those.

Send me a PM and let me know. Thanks!

Hey Guys,

Thanks for all your replies.

I've decided to go with the Current USA Orbit that Griffin had.

Thanks for the tip RT. I'll have to check that out and try to repair the one I had. It was kinda a cheap one to begin with. Odyssea Brand. It's lasted about 1 year.

Don't forget about our Reef Club meeting this weekend.

Hope to see you all there.
