Wanted: Mag 7 pump!

I bought an Aqua EV 180 from here. But I never understood why it never run to it's fullest potential until I found out it was the pump that came with it is a Mag 5. That was my answer right there.

Hey Michael, I might be mistaken on the exact models, but the Mag pumps are usually 2 level interchangable, for example, I believe that the Mag 5 and Mag 7 have the same pump housing. You should be able to swap just the impeller to a Mag 7 impeller and have a Mag 7 pump.

Ah crud, you know, I think I'm wrong on that. I think that the 3 and 5 are the same, and the 7 and 9 are the same. Sorry!

okay, last post, I promise! haha, 5 and 7 do look interchangable, same size housing:

Was that the only difference was the impeller? He told me something like that when I bought it but I didn't get it at first.

How old is it?? Let me know, I'm interested. IF all it is to change out a impeller, I could still use my mag 5 to a 7. But I don't mind another pump.
