I would not breed clarkiis if I were you. Might be to hard to sell.

Why do you think so? They are harder to find wild these days, and largely die once captured.

I have never seen to great of a intrest in them. And I think I have read in the fish breeding forums that clarkiis and maroons are both hard to sell. Did you ask those guys. I think black ocs would be were the moneys at. That or onyx percs.

Those guys are where I got the idea. That and the stores that ask if I am breeding any.

But I agree, basically. They are probably not as popular as ocellaris.

bangais are nice but you get few per batch. Hard to beat clownfish at 600 fish per nest that survive to bulletproof, every 11 days. If only I had the room to grow them all....

What about True Percs?

Lovely fish, like them a lot. They take months to get their second stripe, a year to grow to 1 inch. Ocellaris: fully striped at 3 weeks, take 3-4 months to grow to 1 inch.

If I bred percs, in two months my system would be full up for the year. I would have to wait 10 months to harvest another nest. What fun would that be?:)
