Well, it took introducing another clownfish for a day, but my picasso pair is finally hosting their anem:

I will add updated pictures of my allardi pair in QT when I get them uploaded later.

Also, all the above pictures were taken within a half hour of waking, hence the reason for the spawn to still be closed and the anemone that the picasso pair is in hasn't come out for the day, yet. I'll take better pics when I get home from work today. The picasso pair look so funny in the anem...they are still so small and it is huge!!

Thanks, I wsa very lucky. I was one of those dummies who doesn't think before he acts. I bought an RBTA and really didn't feed it nearly enough. After about 6 months, it shurnk up and split 2 times in three weeks. Never came back to size and started bleaching out. I took the two clones and put them into other tanks and then started actually feeding my anemones. Turns out I was starving them, almost to death!! That's when researching became a huge aspect of my hobby. They all came back and are now full of life. I'm actually happy that I stressed it to split(not purposefully, of course) but I am much happier just having three healthy anemones rather than constantly splitting anems.

My allardis will be getting the unattended anem when they are placed in my 55G(I have five tanks and I'm still running out of room:)).

The second picture down, I see your RBTA has some "double" tentacles like a few of mine, it's so freaky looking every time I see it.

Gorgeous 'nem and gorgeous clowns, thanks for sharing. :)

my GBTA has some doubles as well... i think i've counted two of them... :)

Slakker, yes I've had three in one before, but for good reason and with extreme caution. There was absolutely no way I would do that without watching it the whole time.

Here's how it started...
I have four tanks
One has a pair of picassos, one has a pair of 1 WC onyx and one TR picasso, and one had a WC jigsw and an WC onyx.

The jigsaw and onyx never paired up. The jigsaw sat in the BTA and the onyx in his spawn. They were both juvis, but showed no interest in each other. The jigsaw was completely docile. I had a chance to get another picasso and decided it was a good time to find the other onyx(the one that never took to the jigsaw) a pair. Since hosting separate sites and having no interest in each other, although a risk, adding another juvi with two juvis was a calculated risk. None of them fought with each other and each had their own little place. Withing two weeks, I took the jigsaw out, although there were still no signs of aggression. Since the jigsaw was hosting anems already, I decided to take another calculated risk. I put it in with my pair of picassos(bonded but still not mated). My hope for doing this would be that since the jigsaw already hosted a BTA, since the BTA in both tanks is the exact same one(cloned) and since the picassos didn't host the BTA, that the jigsaw would help teach them to host it. Within five minutes of putting him in, the picassos were down there with him. In juvenile state, and being fed as much as I do, I have little issues with aggression. No competition as they were not sexed and not paired. No reason to compete as they were really just companions. The jigsaw came out after a day in that tank and was brought to my LFS to give to her. All the fish that participated are doing absolutely splendid. The bond between the picassos is strong and now they host the anemone. The two picasso/onyx pairs are doing very well. There are no more than two clowns per tank now and although still juvenile, they are growing healthy and happily. The jigsaw is doing fine back with the LFA. This was in no way harmful or stressful (maybe a little confusing) to any of the fish. The time to worry about three in one tank is when they start showing signs of dominance and/or when they are becoming ready for reproduction. With tank raised, they are used to crowds as youngsters and the ones that were used for this were all siblings(all from ORA except for the onyx).

The jigsaw, being netted twice in that short of period may have been stressed, but by the time he was in the LFS tank, he was doing great and found a friend right away. Better than being a "third wheel". The param differences between the two tanks he visited in my home were negligable at that time.
