I am thinking of starting a mantis only tank. I saw a beautiful peacock mantis at the lfs. What kind of tank should I get, glass or acrylic? What size? Can you keep corals with a mantis? I know snails and crabs are a no no.

for a peacock, go for acrylic, use at LEAST the ten, preferably larger, and mine has stayed away from a large turbo, and I have 40 illyaneous snails that he doesn't like the taste of (i think they are slimy or something) he (she) will grabe them and throw them out of the burrow! Starfish are fine, I kept a knobby red with no problems, the urchins will probably get it... mine eventually did after a couple months..
