I was wondering if the mushroom would be hurting this piece don't know the name of it. well looks it is the other way around. war fare in the tank. sorry the picture is not that clear, wrong speed on the camera.

That looks more like a Toadstool leather than a mushroom IMO. The leather is releasing toxins which will royally **** of that Favites. The Favites is just retaliating and trying to consume the leather. It'd really not a great idea to keep stonies and leathers together for this specific reason.

Oops, it is a toad stool, sorry, what was I thinking????????
your right, I need to move a few pieces around today. softies in corner hard in the other. Just like children when they don't play well together

You may consider running some activated carbon to try and get get any toxins released from the toadstool out of the water column... :)

I keep most of my leathers down current from my more sensitive stonies. That way the toxins are flushed into the sump before reaching the stonies and can be filtered out by the carbon.

A chisle/ screw driver or dremell saw under it. Limestone based rock should be soft after soaking in saltwater. Method will vary depending on it you can remove the rock.
