Warnberg (sp) need advice on the t5 actinics

went and saw wsurfs4me 's tank hes running vho actinics and they really pop.

whats your opinion on the best t5 actinic bulb

bought the g-man pure actinic bulb and they have some pop but not the same

I thought I would chime in and give my $0.02 on T5's

I have used the Gman bulbs and the actinic+ is a 460nm blue while the pure acticic is more of a true actinic. After several different color combinations, I have settled on the following:

URI bulbs are now called UV Lighting. I use 1x UV lighting 50/50 Actinic White and 1 G-man Actinic+ (460nm) bulb on one switch. The other switch I have 2 x UV Lighting Pure Actinic (420nm)

I believe that the color combinations you choose are personal. I do not believe there is a better or best combination. The best is a choice that only you can make.

I agree with what BankerJohn said, it's really personal choice.

I do like the Pure Actinic 03 T5 HO Fluorescent from Giesemann, I have not seen nor tried the Super Actinic T5 HO Fluorescent from UV Lighting. They both say they peak at the 420nm spectrum. But you may like something that peaks at 460nm better. It really all depends on what other bulb or bulbs you are going to run as well.
