was purple now white

i was just wondering i got a tank of a guy a few months back and it was established for 2 years. since than all has heen good but some of my rocks coralline alge is going from purple to white. what does this mean. my calcium leavals are at 450.

also i get a brown/ gray stuff on the rockes that dont look good is that phosphate? ill have pic up later tom thanks a lot all

Something important people don't understand about live rock is that the corraline algae will die if exposed to air for not very long. It is always best to keep live rock in water if possible. That's why you see premium sites selling live rock shipped in water. You have noting to worry about though as the corraline algae will grow back. It will just take a while. The brownish grey stuff is probably a brown diatom bloom. Not necessarily a bad thing as the good bacteria will eat it all and establish itself in your tank.
