It appears that my pistol shrimp has kicked out the yellow watchman goby from the hole. They have been in the tank for just over a week. They paired up after a couple of days, stayed together for a few days, and now the goby doesn't go back in the hole with the pistol shrimp. He has been out for about 3 days. It looks like the shrimp is doing some remodeling, adding a new entrance to his home.
