is anybody useing a water blaster 10000 for a return pump. I just recived mine to replace 2 rio hyperflow 20 witch are rated at 1290 gph, so i figured a 2600 gph pump to replace. my tank is a 210 reef, and from what i have been reading on here is that a few people only used the 7000. I could build a manifold and run my calcium reactor, gfo reactor and uv filter also have a valve to slow down flow if i have to ? any sugestions?

i have the hy-7000 for a 180g+75g sump(probably 40g water).

mine with 5ft headloss is about 1200gph so it works out okay for me.

the only issue with running your UV off the split manifold is it would be hard to determine how much flow you are getting thru the UV. i know certain UV's, it is important to use the correct amount of flow.

i run a 10000 on my 120 and it works great, t off to two return which each have a tee two locklines. no need to valve it down

I also have the same setup and the pump has been working great for over a year.
