do these pumps have to be used as internal for cooling purposes or can they be used as an external pump as well?

do they have a noise specification in dB? noise is a key issue for my application.

one more question on water blaster pumps

one more question on water blaster pumps

is there a chart i could look at that describes the fall off in flow rates versus head pressure?

i'm trying to decide between the HY3000 and HY5000 for my application. i have 4ft of head and want to know what my flow rates would be with each of these pumps.

thanks,
chandan

csarkar001,

You can use them for both internal/external same pump that is used for their new skimmers. It might be a bit louder when its not submerge but it does not affect the pump performance in anyway.

All we have at the moment is the max head information. We will keep you posted as soon as we get them. Thanks..

The pump cam be angled to a horizontal discharge however the discharge itself is fixed location. Thanks.

Any idea when there might be some pump curve data. 7.5' head for a 750gph pump seems a bit on the week side. Perhaps that is why they use so little wattage though.

Just ordered from the site. Look forward to the high flow and low voltage, can't wait to try it!

How do you like the pump?
We are considering purchasing one as well.
Do you think we could use this pump as a return for 3 40g breeders?
I understand we will have to build some sort of manifold.
We are looking into the HY7000.

Received the pump a few days ago. It was well packaged and looks heavy duty. I won't have a chance to use it yet, as my 180 tank has been delayed by the manufacturer. In the instruction manual there is actually a head loss graph, I'll try to remember to scan and upload since most online sites don't have that info yet.

Im looking at the HY7000 or HY10000 for return pump on my 240g tank, what size is the input and output of each pump and is it threaded?

Here are the size's of the input and outlet of the pumps. Thanks everyone.

HY2000W - 1" in / .75" out
HY3000W - 1.25" in / 1" out
HY5000W - 1.5" in / 1.25" out
HY7000W - 1.5" in / 1.25" out
HY10000W - 1.5" in/ 1.25" out

Hey "you" guys over-sized my pump for my application and are not willing to do anything about it....
Very disappointed.

ed,

We spoke on the phone earlier during the day and as stated in our ordering system we only assisted you in adding the Y barb fittings into your order not the pump. As soon as the pump that you want arrives to our location, we would honor the discount that I offered you during our conversation. Please do not hesitate to contact me via phone or PM if you have further questions. Thanks

I am confused with your comments. Sandy left it with a positive; then you post your a comments giving more life to an issue that was put to bed. Your comments are obviously defensive in nature and unverifiable. Sandy spoke with your company on three occasions seeking your professional input on YOUR PRODUCT. It would not be logical for her to seek input on the connectors for the pump without the pump being part of the discussion. Yes; we are ultimately responsible but we did what any logical person would do and asked you for input.

I am lost on why you would give life to an issue we left with a positive ending?
