Water change + Autodosing?

I finally locked in my consumption on my new reef and am going to be hooking up my autodosers again. My main question how do you deal with water changes with a higher dkh salt? It seems like a lot of people are using IO, Reef Crystals and RSCP which have high alk numbers. I keep my kh ~7.7 and when I do a 10 percent water change with reef crystals I will see about a .4 dkh increase.

Since I've been hand dosing I just compensate by adding less that day but now that I will be autodosing I am guessing I will see alk creep. I have 100 gallons of RC left but I am thinking of switching to either TM pro or Redsea blue bucket. Any recommendations?

I would suggest switching to the red sea blue bucket salt. It usually mixes to 7.8 DKH. I find it's easiest to use a salt that matches your water parameters the closest.

You can add muriatic acid to the mix to knock the alk down. I do it all the time. Drop mine from 10+ to 8.5-9. I normally keep my alk around 8 but I don't mind a little bump on waterchange day:)
