Water Change

I was wondering what techniques people were using to change the water in their tank. Currently I just pump the water from my sump (10g) and then pump a little from the tank. Looking for different ideas.

I blow my rocks/substrate right before the water change so I take the water from the from the show tank to facilitate removing all the crud suspended in the water column.

Weekly routine...

* Make sure water level is right (add RO if necessary - done daily but always before water change)
* Close the valves on overflow and return lines and turn off pumps.
* Blow off rocks with powerhead
* Take 10 gal from display tank
* Put on clean filter sock
* Brush out collection cup for skimmer
* Open valves, turn on pumps
* Add 10 gal water to sump
