Water Changes

Hey Randy,
I'm just curious, I have a set up pretty close to yours (thanks to your articles) and I was wondering if you do water changes? If so how much and how often?

I do 1% per day with an automatic water changer.

When you say 1% a day are you refering to the rerplacement of your evaporated water?

No. The pump is a dual head pump that takes out 1 gallon per hour (sent to a drain) or so and adds back one gallon per hour or so of new salt water. I runs it about 3 hours per day, to make it a 1% or so change per day.

I replace evaporated water with limewater.

I also have an automatic water change system in place. Every day, I automatically change three gallons of water.
