Water changing station

Gives Bad Advice.
So, I'm in the process of designing my water changing station in my garage. I know the basic design and idea from doing research.

My first question, for those of you that use a float switch to stop Ro/di water for the fresh water container, do you run an auto on off for the ro unit or do it manually? If it does auto top off the fresh, how do you avoid the initial tds spike of the new water?

Second, my tank is in one of our guest rooms, am I better off rolling a container to the room or would it be advantageous of me to run plumbing to the room? Because of the complexity of it, I'm leaning towards the first option.

Thanks in advance.

I have a fresh water can, a salt water mixing can and ATO can. Fresh water can and ATO can has a float switch attached. I remove the feed line to both and let it run for a few minutes before filling for the TDS. My ATO has kalkwasser mix in it.
