water clarity

my tanks been cycled for about a month i have a few small soft coral frags and a few small zoo frags, 2 damsels 1 chromis and one tang,
all water levels are great check them twice a week, my problem is that the water clarity always looks somewhat cloudy other than when i do water chage i have a 75 gallon tank 30g sump/refuge also i am through my alge cycle, any thoughts anyone

I think, it could be suspended small sand particles, detrius, food, bacteria, plankton. You could run a polishing (1 micron) filter.

You might try a little Granulated Activated Carbon (GAC) as well.
basically porous bituminous coal-based carbon. It can help remove disolved organic compounds (DOC). I'm sumpless so I run a canister filter just for GAC and additional flow. You can simply put some in a filter sock and place it in your sump in an area of moderate flow. Generally it should probably be replaced monthly. I use Black Diamond. Easy to find and cheap.
