Water Evaporation on Large Surface Area

When should I start worrying about the humidity in the fish room. I'm in the process of adding some new frag tanks but they'll have large surface area.

Is the only method to install either a dehumidifier or a EGR system?

I was also thinking about covering the top with glass, but worried about light penetration and it would affect the overall look

I would think it totally depends on how much moister your walls & electrical equipment can handle- if you have a completely tiled room as if it were a wet sauna and electronics partitioned into another room or sealed off closet or something, I'd say let it get as humid as it wants to. Sure would cut down on top offs. Heck, I'd love to frag corals in a humid, 'tropical' room, especially given winter is fast approaching.

If not, seems like ~55% is a decent target.

Covering the top with glass is a bad idea, you need that air exchange at the surface and having glass there will overheat in no time. Also it would cloud up with moisture.
