Water Evaporation question

How much water evaporation should occur in a day period. Should you be able to notice the evaporation. Should I be topping off everyday or everyother day or is this too much. thanks

I top off every day...in my 33g tank I top off about 1/4-1/2 gallon per day. I have a completely open top though, so I would think I get pretty heavy evaporation. My 10g QT has a lid, and I bet I only replace 1/8 gallon once a week.

I top off every day 1.5 - 2 G a day.

1-2 gallons a day in the 90, depending on the time of the year. Right now in SW Florida, it's pretty dry... so I average about 2g a day.

i average about 1/2 gallon per day on my 20 gallon long.

Totally depends on if you have on glass tops or not. My evaporation on a 90 gl is only about 1/2 gl day if that. My glass tops are on along w/ the plastic strips on the back.
