Hello all,
I was wondering if I could get a little trouble shooting regarding wave makers and the like as my 7 year old established 100 gallon set-up has always had recurrent bouts of hair algae. I only have a submersible magdrive (I think it is a 1700?) for my main pump and a maxi jet rigged to a SCWD for tank circulation. I see this as a potential contribution to my hair algae problem (other contributions have all been addressed-lighting, chemistry, feeding etc.) but do not know what systems to use for this size tank as I have heard horror stories for example of others putting a Tunz into their 100 gallon tanks to have a mini-hurricane effect toppling over corals and rocks!?! Anyways I had my eye on stream kit, sea swirl, or Turbelle, but I am still playing with Maxi jets so I really don’t know? I have included a picture of my SCWD, a pic of how my rockwork is aligned with none touching the back wall, and a close up shoot for all you hair algae lovers out their
