Should a kalkwasser reactor have a small portion of air at the top?
My ATO and reactor is set up as such:
reservoir > Aqua lifter > kalk reactor > sump
When the dosing pump shuts off the top portion of the reactor reactor empties into the tank. But only until the water level drops past the little "bulkhead lip." As a result, I think that a portion of the scum on the top would make it's way into my sump when my dosing pump shuts off.
Is this a problem? Could this be solved by placing the output line from the reactor all the way up to the overflow section of the display tank?
