in a well established tank is there a chance that you can ever see nitrites or ammonia in your tank again???? Like in FW basicly after teh cycle you never see it again unless you make a obvious change to the filtration or something. My 150 is about 5 weeks old, but it was started with 70 lbs of rock from my existing tank and all 65 gallons of matured water from that tank were all moved into the 150. Then the rest of the water added was new and I added 80lbs of live rock. I obvioulsy went through all the cycle again although my nitrites still won't go down. It won't even budge. Can over feeding, trapped debris, or anything else cause nitrite to rise????for some reason my tank just doesn't want to break down those nitrites. Would a cycling additive work something like seachem stability????

Changes in your tank like adding mo elive rock will cause a cycle, overfeeding can cuase issues as well as dead fish or other organisims.

Are you doing water changes regularly? Was the live rock well cured before adding it to the tank. These and more like the exact water paramaters will be asked by others.

k well the live rock was "cured" so says my lps owner. The original 70 lbs was for sure cured it was in my established 65. I also added 100lbs of live sand when I set up this 150 gallon. My ammo is zero or very very close. It's definatly not at the next step up.(i use the test tube test kits from Aquarium Pharm.) My nitrate is at 10ppm. The nitrite is at like 1.... not 0.1, its at 1. Dark purple.

I have not been doing any water changes.... just top ups with RO/DI.

Five weeks is sort of a long time to have such high parameters. Personnally I would have been doing parial water changes this whole time, but there are conflicting opinions on this point.

Do a water change and see if the nitrite rises again. This is the next logical step in working towards an answer to your question.
