Does anyone out there know of some type of micron filter media or cartridge that I could put into my fluval? I have 2 fluvals on my 120 gallon but still notice debris in the water column...i think maybe some of it might be buffer that I add. I want the water to look crystal clear.

I had a couple fluval 304's several years back on a 55, saw the same thing. To get really clear water on my 135 I have an Ocean Clear canister with a 25 micron filter cartridge.

I wonder if you could cut a sheet of a 100 or 50 micron filter pad and lay it across the top of the flual media baskets???

You can run a Diatom filter PT/FT to polish.

Do you have a sump?? Cause a 1000 micron filter sock would definitely do the trick on the end of your overflow hose

I have used 50 micron bating from pet warehouse in my ehiem canister and the water was always crystal clear.
