What would be a good recommended filter to polish my water?

Do you use any filter socks or filter pads on your tank? A 50 or 100 micron pad or sock will go along way to removing debris from the water.
If you've tried that, and are looking for something more, try an ocean clear canister. You can get a 25 or 50 micron cartridge for it I think. I would recommend getting 2 cartridges, so you always have a clean one.
What ever you do, remmeber to change the pads or cartridges often to prevent nitrates from building up.

On my wet/dry sump I use a regular filter pad and a charcoal pad every other cleaning. In the tank I utilize two Aquacler 70 powerheads with Quick Filters. But it seams to me I have a lot of snow.
BTW I would use a filter sock I just need to figure out how to appyl it. The water comes down flexable tubing right over the bio balls.

If its like mine, the water flows into a tray with holes in it which spreads the water over the bio balls. If thats the case, get filter pads and cut them to fit that tray.

Fiziksgeek mentioned the tray with holes in it; you can cut that out to fit the ring of the filter sock if you want to use one. (Notice my filter sock sits in the tray with holes.) Or use the filter pad route.

I use an old EHIEM canister filter from my early years filled with carbon and fitted with a filter pad on top of the carbon to keep the carbon from getting into the impeller it works really good because the water enters from the bottom of the filter and flows up through the carbon so I get maximum surface contact. I have it plummed into the return section of my sump/fuge where the particulate debris is least look on E-bay or the local classified ads for used canister filters.
