Water Pump

Looking for a pump that can pump water from my basement up to my tanks in the family room and living room. Preferably a Mag 18 or larger with a max head of 14ft or more.

If you want a pump that will be acting as your return/ circulation pump, a mag drive 18 would be ill advised.
Try Champion lighting/ or Drs. Fosters Smith for some great high head pumps.
If you want the pump for just pumping saltwater/ RO water from a reserve tank, the mag drive 18 MIGHT cut it.
You may also inquire to Tom Obrect. He has a Display Tank upstairs, and a Sump room downstairs.
Good Luck!

bubba...Scott knows his stuff and I would take his advice. I currently use a Dolphin 4700 as a return from the basement to the main display. I have about a 12' head and figure I get about 3000gph from the pump. I've never had a bit of trouble from it. They do have smaller models if you are looking for less gph.

I'm not looking for it as a return pump, I already have an external return pump a sequence barracuda. I'm just looking for a spare Mag 18 or higher for a pump to get water from my holding tanks in the basement to the 2 tanks I have up-stairs when doing water changes.

A mag 1800 should put out approximately 300-350 gph at a 14 foot head.
That should work well for pumping salt water/ ro water upstairs, granted I don't know your plumbing design and how many 90 degree elbows it may contain which will add some friction for head loss.
Do you work for OPPD? Some of the BEST reefkeepers I have ever known work for OPPD. ( Dave Havranek, Kenny Smith)
Good Luck!
