im planning on doing a 10% water change this weekend. question is my salt level now is at .026 if i do a water change with the same salinity it will be alright-right. or should i do a fresh water only change it shouldnt drop my salinity much.and is aerating it with a powerhead 24 hours good enough.

24 hours at temp should be enough (and in most people's opinion is the minimum). 1.026 is a little higher than most people like to run their tanks. Seems like 1.025 is the concensus for corals with fish being able to go a little lower. Are you trying to drop the SG of the water with this change? If so, I would pull my SG down on the new water a couple of points lower than the tank.

Why would you want to use fresh water? I think a specific gravity of 1.026, which matches the ocean, is perfect.
