Waterbox Platinum defect or not?

Hi guys,

I bought my first tank and I don't know jack about what's normal and what's not. It's an Waterbox 70.2. The silicone on the outside edge of one corner. The bottom third looks fine, the top 2/3 looks like there's a bit of separation. I post pics below of the bottom vs top. Can one expect this because nothing is perfect when it comes to tanks. Is this cosmetic only? Should I be concerned and contact Waterbox?

Is the gaps in the silicone between the 2 panes of glass, or is it on the fillet inside of the tank?


If the latter it's only cosmetic and will be fine to hold water. If its between the panes of glass, I would not trust it.

I'm not sure what you're asking but here are some pictures. The 3 deepest spots are 5 mm and the rest are between 1-4mm.

That's the depth of the gaps at the joints right?

If so I would not trust it.

They are kind of hard to get ahold of. I have the 100.3, I can try to look at mine and see if it's the same. This is the top corner correct?

Hard to tell on your pic. I do not see that gap, I have thick silicone. Can you be more specific?

Look at the first set of pics from the first post. You should see those obvious gaps. Dont trust that tank.
