Wave box. Anyone using them?

I really like the type of wave motion these boxes create. The tanks I've seen on you tube just look more natural and ocean like where the entire column of water moves. I'm interested in hearing opinions good and bad about this type of flow system.

Are they difficult to tune and how stable are they.

I've never owned one but have stayed away as I thought they were another finicky gadget that would give me headaches. Investigate some used Vortechs in the classifieds. New, they are very expensive but well worth the money. I was totally shocked when I turned on the first one I own on what I thought was a well vacuumed little tank. Never used one of the newer Maxspect Gyre pumps but was impressed when I saw one at a MACNA show.
Buy cheap, buy twice!

We're you able to place the WP40 to get the flow you wanted even though they mount flat?

I used a Tunze wave box on my last tank. Loved it. It held he food in the water column for a long time and it was nice to watch everything away back and forth. Just didn't fit into my set up this time as I went rimless/eurobraced and don't want wires running across the tank.
