Wave Gyre placement in a Wavefront tank.

Im wondering if anyone could give me some insight on where to place a wave gyre in my wavefront tank. This is what it looks like.

So should I place it horizontally in the smaller end and push current toward the wider end or should I place it in the wide end and push current towards the smaller end?

I was thinking I should place it in the wide and and as current gets funneled into the smaller end it would cause all kinds of flow to bounce around.

Any ideas?

I would place it at the narrow end. A few inches from the top.

Sweet tank!! Is that acrylic? I would put it at the narrow end as well, should get some good flow.
