I wondered the same thing. Doesn't seem to be much support for them.

I was able to pick up the 24x4 bulb retrofit at RAP. Can't post a honest review until I have a few weeks to try them out. I also picked up a 48" red wave bulb, but it broke on the way home

Testing on a 24x20x20 section of my tank mounted 6" high.
Bulbs used will be:
blue wave
sun wave
blue wave
reef wave

Corals being tested:
SPS: red planet, miami orchid & tyree tri color 14" from bulbs
LPS: Christmas favia (14" down) Jason fox chalice (on sand bed)
zoas: assorted ones will be scattered at different heights

So far I really like the look of reef coral & wave red bulb.

I just ordered a bunch:

I run a Tek 36x6 Canopy.

I was thinking of this setup.

Reef Wave

Hello everybody, i know this is a little old but just figured id bring back an oldie for a first post.

Let me tell you a little about my tank I have a Wave Point 24" 4 bulb T5HO fixture running all wave point bulbs its a 28? bowfront that i've had up and running for about a year and a half, so far i have had a pretty decent turn out with the lights. i had a pretty good stock list for all this time up untill about 3 months ago when something happened and i lost all my livestock. so i've restocked it again in that time and again im having a good turn out so far everything seems to be happy and growing good. i have LPS Softies and 1 SPS thats high up that all seem fine.
Just an FYI for anyone wondering how these were. they are working for me so i dont see why they wouldnt for anyone else
also this is my first SW tank and have never had any experence with any other light so i can't compare them but if the others are better for this then im going to be in for a shock when i upgrade.
Anyway they get a +1 from me
