Hey Guys,
My WP25 just went out after 6 months of use. I currently have 2 700 gph circ pumps in there right now and my corals are looking pretty shabby especially my gonipora.

I was contemplating getting another WP25 if I could find one locally but also wanted to explore other options such as the MP10. Just curious what others out there are using for their 75-90 gallon tanks and their thoughts.

Thanks for the info guys.

Though pricey, I'm pretty interested in a Tunze wave box. I have an MP-40 in my 75. While it offers pretty good flow, my first wet side was defective from the factory and the replacement is not in need or replacement after about a year.

That Tunze Wavebox is pretty cool but seems like a lot or space in the DT. The way my tank is scaped I would not really have a clean place to put it with out it directly hitting the back of my corals. I was looking into the Wave Controllers like Hydor and Sicce with a pump on either side.

Go with a Vortech, a little pricey but very minimal impact on the profile of your DT and very reliable and powerful. Ecotech stands behind them pretty hard too, so its easy to get replacements or support if needed.

+1 Vortech is an excellent pump. I have two on my 75 gallon and have had no issues with them. Like zrogst said, they are pricey but won't go out after six months and Vortech's customer service is awesome.

One of mine died after a few months of use, the lights on the controller wouldn't come on so I swapped the power supply with my other one and it worked fine. If its the power supply, fish street sells them for like 10 bucks

azkass you running 2 MP10s? I am also mostly LPS as I see you are too.

Yes, my tank is mostly zoas, lots of euphilia and other LPS. I have both set to "pulse" with one running at max and the other at 50 percent. The euphilia IMO like the higher flow. Same with my zoas.

Unfortunatey mine the actual motor died. I had an extra controller from the gb when they shipped the 2nd gens out. I tried that and same thing acts like it wants to turn but doesn't.

Thanks azkass I like the flexibility of having multiple pumps that i could put in different locations may give that a shot.

Double check the grommet in the cover, mine did the same thing but with a little cleaning and letting the impeller run without the grommet it worked its self out, just a thought to try

I cleaned the hell out of it and also tried without the grommet before tossing. Thanks for the advice though, much appreciated.
