Wavebox 6209 placement question

Have a wavebox coming in next week and have a basic question about how to set this up in my tank. Tank is DSA 135 (48 X 24 X 27) with relatively tall rock structure:



I plan to place the wavebox to run down the length of the tank, but my question is if I should try to position it off the back wall so it has a "clear path" between the overflow and the rocks...?

Or does it make any significant difference if the wavemaker is aimed toward the overflow?

Since the overflow is a shorter length, it will make a difference, it may be possible to tune a correct wave but it certainly complicates it. I would place it in front of the overflow.
