6212 is no longer in production, 6215 is the latest wavebox for aquariums from 200 to 1,500 litres (52 to 396 USgal.).

6212 is the older version with the old style driver box, power supply and drive unit. The 6215 has the new style powersupply, the "driver" is a small black box with a pot at the end of the cord for the pump and the pump unit is the newer round type vs the older squareish pump..

The pump in 6215 is stronger, 6215 includes magnet holders and the box itself was slightly redesigned to accomodate the new stronger pump.
