wavebox and new tank

I have a wavebox on the way and am in the process of having a custom acrylic tank made. It's 8' long w/ a 4" bracing around the top edge. It's my understanding the wavebox will mount on the side below the bracing.

How low should the level be below the top If I want to run it full blast?

I'd like tell the fabricator how long the teeth need to be in the overflow.

I would go with 2" below the brace. Also, the brace will have to have holes for the bracket or you will need to use magnet holders, it has to clamp on to a vertical pane.
