wavebox controller

My wavebox controller got some water in it. I took it apart and cleaned it. I now works without the feed button. Every once in awhile it has a hicup and stops. What are my options? Can it get repaired? What other controllers can make a wavebox work correctly. For some reason I have never been able to get the photocell to plug in.

Typically water damage cannot be repaired, usually the combination of electricity and salt water quickly eats away the boards etched circuits. The photocell not plugging in would be something simple, the photocell plug or the hole in the casing not lining up with the port. My best suggestion would be to get a 7092, this is the new controller, it has more features and is a worthwhile upgrade. I am happy to check it out, but unless the only issue is the button itself, it is unlikely I can repair it, I can repair the photocell issue though.

I have done some reading and well I'm still confused. I have a 6091 controller. I see no problems with it. Now I can get a 7091 controller which seems about the same except I can adjust the power to the pump with a dial. The 7092 seems "digital", more fine tuning for the wave. But one thing, it has a soft start. Will this make it quieter? Getting info on these seems hard.
I have a 6'x 2' x 20" tank. I have the wavebox and no other tunzes, I am thinking of a change. Maybe I will get another adjustable pump for the otherside. I have two MJ 1200 center back pointed to the sides. At the back upper corners I have about 700gph returning from sump, eachside. I'm thing of replacing the mj's with 6025's or 6045's. I can switch them off and on or leave them on all the time. Not sure if they like being switched like that or not. Maybe I will get another pair for front to back in the center to outer sides. And/or get one big adjustable pump in sync with wavebox on other side of wavebox.

Any help would be great.

You want a 7092, not 7091, 7091 cannot run a wavebox. 7092 essentially merged 6091 and 7091 and gave both pulse and wavebox features and added the bush button auto tuning. If what you have works there is no advantage to changing, the 7092 is just easier to use. Both have a soft start, the pumps get a quick 10% power flash to bring them on before jumping to the set power. I would get the 6045's at a minimum and they don't like being switched off and on, they chatter on start up and off and on more rapid than every 15 minutes will quickly break the props. My suggested compromise is off and on every 1hr with a 5-15 minute overlap so both are on together briefly.

I am looking into getting a nano wavebox my question is, does the 7092 come with the new waveboxes or do you have to buy it separately?

It will, but not yet, in the next month they will transition from the 6091 to the 7092 as standard.

There won't be any formal announcement, as soon as they use the last 6091, they will switch to 7092. This is estimated to be mid June.

Roger, I'm now running a 6055 with 7092 in the pulse mode, and a MP40W in lagoon mode, I'm very happy with the set up as there is good random water flow, some waves on the water surface, as well as much less noisy than using the MP40W alone at its full output.

However, I have found the 7092 control dial doesn't offer much control over my 6055's speed, instead using different voltage jumpers does control the speed. Is it normal or my 7092 is faulty? Many TKS!!!

Be sure to turn it fully clockwise and counterclockwise until it stops, the range excedes the marked lines. At 24V you should be able to adjust the flow between 1450 gph and about 500gph. If you are in wavemode, there is no adjustment except the jumpers, in this mode it is simply off and on, you only have speed adjustment in pulse mode.
