I am in the process of setting up a new tank with outside dimensions of 48 x 36 inches. There is an built in overflow that covers the entire length of the tank giving the main tank a 30" depth. I picked up a Wavebox I have yet to set up (still doing construction on the stand/walls/electric etc.) but I'm a little concerned about the recommended freeboard.
My question is whether the Wavebox will work in this configuration. I have only about 1" of freeboard above the overflow. I expected that any waves will cascade over the overflow as there we be no practical limit to the flow that the overflow can handle (I will have 2 x 1.5 inch drains to handle the the return water).
Does anyone have any experience with this kind of setup? Or will I just have to wait and see how things work out.
