wavebox in a glass tank??

Can I use a Wavebox Tunze in a glass tank???
some people told me that the tank could to be in risk and to become broken by the wave efect!
is this true??

tha tank is a 77"x 30"x 26" LXHXW
and the glass thikness is 12mm. (1/2 inch).

what do you think???
thank you

I use one in my 100g since november 06. I have never heard of anyone having a tank crash because of it. Tunze states that it is likely to reduce the life time of the tank though (a few years or so I think). It´s a really great piece of equipment imo and I personally think that people often are too worried about this potential risk.

I have a 64x30x30 - been running a wavebox for a few months now and the effect it gives is excellent (if not the noise).

I think the "reduction of tank life" is a pretty theoretical thing and Tunza are just covering themselves - I wouldnt worry - lets face it most people change tanks before they get anywhere near the end of their life anyway!

The thing I would be most worried about would be if I had a tank less than 4 feet long. In a six footer no problems.
