Wavebox on a 12 foot long tank

Hi Roger

I love my external wavebox on my 220g 6 foot tank and I am now getting ready to build a bigger tank with the dimensions of 144"Lx30"Wx18"T, about 330 gallons. If I build an external wavebox on one end would it be able to make a single or even double wave?

Thanks

It would be best to have one on each end given the length of the tank. A double wave would be possible, as would a triple wave. Generally you can get one wave per meter.

Thanks, I want to be able to view the tank from the long side, so I'll see what 1 can do and add another if needed.

Another quick question. I have a 6085 and a 6065 and I cleaned them together and cant figure out which propeller goes to which, they look the same. Are they the same? One of them runs backwards sometimes, and the tips of the propeller are broken, could this be the cause?

Thanks for all of the great service!

They should be different in length by a couple mm's. Broken tips will cause it to spin backwards, I would suspect the 6085 has broken tips and that is why they look the same. I can send a new prop, just let me know.

the holes for the tunze wavebox are 60mm right? Are the outlets on the old style wavebox pumps (ones with transformer puck) the same as the new style pumps? I have one of the old style and will be buying one of the new style, just need to verify they are the same diameter.

Thanks!
