Wavebox on a 36" long tank?

i would have to say no guys. i have a 120 48 long with a tunze wavemaker and to get the proper motion it is set on the lowest quickest setting which means the wave motion is really fast so on a 36 long i dont think it would work. i also read that they recomend a 72 long for this box which i didnt know when i bought it. the wave motion is too fast on my tank, the fish like it and im sure the corals do but for veiwing its not that pleasing.

I think the concept is easy enough to design yourself, but it has to be specific to your tank. The hard part that tunze developed was the fact that you can tune it to any tank given the dimensions fall within a range.

The easier way would be to trial and error on your own tank, given a powerhead and the ability to shrink / expand a box until you've gotten the perfect balance to create a nice wave motion in the tank. You'd also need a controller and a pump that can handle short spurts of on/off. Once you have that down, you'll have a wave!

I want to do some testing, then have a custom tank builder, build it into a tank.
