Wavebox questions

I have a whole lot of powerheads (6100, 6080, 6200, etc) and I have been exceptionally pleased with them. I am looking at the waveboxes but I have questions. How quiet are they? Must they create waves or can they be set to create surge? What would be the effect of a nano wavebox in a larger tank (e.g. 200 or 350 gallon). What happens if the tank is not rectangular?

Steve, the wavebox actually generate wave motion not surge. The nano wavebox will not do anything for larger size aquarium I.E 180 or larger. With that size of aquarium you are require the regular size wavebox 6212.

The wavebox will work and work very well in rectangular type aquarium but it also work on certain aquarium which are not rectangular as long as you have a long straight shot.

Steve's answer is correct. I wouldn't use a Nano wavebox on anything over a 5ft 150 myself. It just isn't strong enough.
