Wavebox/Stream placement

I have a 210g 72x24x29 that is primarily SPS. I currently have 2 6100's and 7095 controller. I am considering getting a wavebox. How would I postion them in the tank? Would the streams mess up the "Wave"?

Thanks

I currently have a 210 SPS and have the ts24 kit, 1 6200 and the wavebox. I have one 6100 plus the wavebox one side of the tank with the 6100 on that side hooked to the aux port of the wavebox and the 2 other streams on the other side. I get about 1/2 wave across the tank with the wave box placed towards the back of the tank about 1" off the overflow. It took a little time playing with the multicontroller to get the wave right.

That's a ton of flow! 3 streams and a wavebox! Nice. Do you have sand?

My issue is that if I put the wavebox towards the back of the tank then it will be shooting directly into a mound of LR. Shouldn't it be placed were there is the least amount of obstruction?

Thanks

I have had good luck with it in the back plus it is less obtrussive and my wife doesnt complain how it looks. Mine pounds the live rock. Yes I have sand as well and yes it did push it around when i first put them in, now it is fine. I think the wae comes from the sucking the water in from the top and blasting it out with the stream, so long as you have a few inches i think you would be ok. Give it a shot first and see what type of wave you get. I get about 1/2-3/4 wave with it blasting the rock right off the overflow.

Where are your overflows? Mine is the standard AGA 210 with 2 of them that are off center. If you have that same config. Is there much of a sloshing sound caused be the wave? Right now my tank is pretty much silent and I don't want to ruin that.

I have the same exact tank. It is a little bit noisy but I have to pull the balfold up a little bit more. I think that will keep the noise down a bit. Overall I would do it.
