Ive seen 2 waveboxes on over 2m long tanks. The waveboxes were positioned only on the one side and man those were big waves. All the dirt literally gets suspended and my view it work better than a closed loop. Adding some extra Tunze Streams for flow you would have the perfect setup. Did you evr see a tank using a wavebox, if not have a look at one similar to your tank size than decide. Better to look before you buy right.

Thanks again for all the feedback. I will be temporarily disconnecting my closed loop this weekend and repurposing the CL input bulkheads to be used for my new external wavebox. I'll let everybody know the results and which option I like better. If possible, I may go for a combination, but don't think my current setup will allow it.

Hello,

Any progress on your external wave box? Very interesting idea. . . .

I'm running 2 6212 wb's on an 8 foot tank. Running 1.5" waves right now on inverse mod 1 on each end. If I dial it in good can get almost a 2" wave. I also run 2 6100's on the back wall off my ghl with 6200 suctions housing's to difuse the flow. Doing these in random mode. I have a couple seaswirls just waiting for the vertex attachments. Then I will be attaching the 6100's on the seaswirls and getting a 90 sweep from each 6100. It's awesome now can't wait to see the final result.
