Wavebox Woes

I just got a new wavebox today for my 180 gallon reef. The problem is that it won't mount on my tank. I have a 180 gallon All-Glass-Aquarium and the rim around the tank is pretty thick. I can fit the brackets around the rim and make them pretty tight, but when I turn on the wavebox it starts rocking back and forth and them jumps up out of the tank mostly. I really don't want to buy the magnet mounts if I don't have to. What should I do?

You can always trim the lip of the tank plastic trim a little from the inside. I know tunze sell the extension kit for thicker tank...

Unfortunately you need the magnet holder to get a secure mount in this case.
