Wavemaker powerhead recommendations

I just hooked up 2 Koralia 4s to my Reefkeeper Elite and when the pumps start up they chatter like crazy. In fact, it's so annoying that I may just turn them off.

Does anyone have recommendations on a set of pumps that would work better than these? I heard Maxis would work but the output is quite narrow. I like the spread of the Hydors much better but the chatter on startup is just too much for human consumption.

Wow. Those powerheads are $227 each. Is that really my only option?

And are those powerheads really that great, quality wise? I had the 6025 for a little bit. I wasn't a huge fan. The mount broke on me and they also ceased up after only 6 months. Wasn't the best experience.

i have 2 korillia 3 in a 90 with a seio wavemaker module
which does not shut off the powerhead just lowers the voltage so they dont chatter works great for me

Very interesting. I wonder if the Reefkeeper can lower the voltage. That would be perfect.

Karilias are not made for wave makers unless you buy the new controllable models withe the controllers.
