Wavemaking basics?

Quick question.

I keep reading how wavemaking makes a lot more oxygen in your tank.

My current tank is a 210 and I have great flow from my returns. I have two SEIO 2600's. The 2600's are on the right and left of the tank pointing kind of towards the middle.

I do not have a closed loop and really looked at that as overkill.

With my current setup will the 2 SEIO's be enough to make a wave effect? Does it wear the pumps out more? Are the pumps placed right for this? Should they be pointed in a certain way?

I have a couple outlet strips downstairs that say wavemaker on them. Is something like that good enough to do the wavemaking? Should I look at a Reefkeeper? Is this even important enough to do?

Thanks in advance for any help anyone is able to offer.

I'm fairly certain that you can't use Seio's on a run of the mill wavemaker. something to do with the pump failing prematurely. They are in the process of developing one for the seio's, not sure if it is on the market yet.

I have the same question, except I have a 90g & 2 Seio 820s. I have them placed the same as canar's. Is that good placement?

Placement is fine. They'll crap out on a wavemaker quickly, will cease to turn on. Their controller is due out any day now. Will be pricey and not nearly as flexible as, say, the Tunze controllers.
