WAVYSEA feedback

hi gang,
I was wondering if anybody had any kind of feedback or reviews tey can share with this product called WAVYSEA, its a wave maker similar to Sea Swirls, except it can be programned to rotate up to 180 degrees & rate of rotation, looks like a cool toy. any input will be appreciated.

I looked into them a while back when they were sponsoring RC and for the money it didn't seem worth it to me. If you had a power outage they just stay in a fixed position and you have to reprogram the unit to rotate the way you want it. For me, this was a huge drawback.

The main advantage I think is flow rate compared to the seaswirls and the ability to tinker with the rotation rate. Anyway, FWIW I have two 1/2 ss on my 90.

I have a couple in use as I like the variable speed and variable arc.
They can rotate 0-360, not just 180, and you can adjust the speed of rotation. The slowest speed is slower then a Seaswirl and they have two versions, one is supposed to handle more gpm's.
They are very easy to program-its just pushing two buttons to set the start and stop positions of the arc, but there is no backup so if there is a power outage, it defaults to no rotate and stays in one position, but this can be avoided by plugging them into a UPS strip. They could easily incorporate this into their unit and I think they have received enough comments about it that they will do it someday. Their customer support has been good when needed.
Time will tell if they are durable over time but for the most part they seem well made.
I have a very high comfort level with Seaswirls and have many of them in use so I'm not switching them out any time soon, but if the WavySeas prove long term reliable, they may have their place for select applications since you can vary the arc and speed of rotation.
