True, but they are seperate parallel runs to my router, their wiring configuration has no effect on these new parallel runs I've added.

The problem has got to be something very simple that anyone smarter than me would recognize instantly.

I bought a cat5e punchboard today and cut all my heads off and terminated all my data lines into the punchboard and now everything works great.

So the install was correct, (cables, jacks, etc.). Apparently I just suck at attaching RJ45 heads.

Anyway terminating at a punch board looks better anyway, and the punch board has female RJ45 jacks, so now I can plug and play and I have receptacles in my wiring closet instead of wires hanging everywhere.
