well, i will at least have a Highschool Diploma. I communicate with many big time salesmen from many BIG companies, and all of them have told me that the worst thing you can do with your career if you are wanting to be a salesman and you have a natureal talent, is to go to college. SO i dont know....

Dont miss college cause of what they say.... #1 it will be one of the ebst timoes in your life, plenty of time to make money after. #2 almost every industry places a HIGH value on a degree, even though most know its just a piece of paper. Ive been passed for great jobs just cause I didnt have my bachelors even though I had 6 years experience and TONS of pro's saying I was the best for the job, hence the reason I went back, wont make that mistake twice. Plus its the best time to spend your hard earned money on women and beer...... Kind of hard to justify liveing the college life if your not in school, I tried

If you can go to college go. Dont let anyone tell you different. You never know in life what you might need it for. It might not be best thing for a current job your looking at but you never know 10 years down the road. I wish I would of went to school.
Just wait until the dates get expensive, its nothing to spend a $100 bucks in a few hours with a girl. Your not even in the bars yet, oh drinks can put you over $200. Pray for a light drinker. lol

This is so true. I know PLENTY of drop outs from my highschool that today aren't doing anything but working some jobs that not even imigrants would work for. College is so much fun! If you do minimal work you'll still get a degree. (This is not to discorage any parent from not putting their children through college, lol) but if you study before you go..you can party every day!

I used to work in personnel for a large company in New Jersey...the first thing we checked was education...the second community involvement. If 5 guys are going after the same job... that piece of paper will often be the deciding edge.

Sure, the opportunities are there for people who don't graduate from college, but they are a lot harder to come by. To anyone that says don't get a degree, I say why not? How in the world would being a more educated person hurt you in looking for a career.
Plus, with florida's bright future's scholarship, its quite easy to have your entire tuition/books paid for.

I totally agree! Education is VERY important. I'm currently looking for a sales/marketing position, and Maryce is right, the first thing we look for is education!!!
With this position we aren't looking for just Marketing majors, instead, just the college experience. First it tells an employer that you are very commited, and goal oriented, also that you have the ability to work at a goal, and find ways to accomplish it.
In college you learn much more than just academics, you learn how to deal with a broad range of people, learn to trouble shoot, organization, etc... All skills that an employer will be looking for!
InLimbo87 is absolutely correct, there are many programs out there that make going to college very easy, hopefully you will use them, or at least give them a try.
